Office Mail & Delivery Clerk

Job Title: Mail Clerk

Number of Positions: 1

Location: Okemos, MI (In-Office)

• May pick up mail from the local post office using a company vehicle
• May collect, sort, or deliver mail or other documents and materials internally or externally
• Determines proper class of mail and applies postage using a postage meter
• Prepares packages for courier distribution
• Maintains address database
• Maintains related departmental records and files
• Operates equipment which may include a personal computer, telephone, copier, scanner, shredder, folder, postage meter, electric and manual skid mover, etc.
• Assists with hand stuffing / collating projects and other department projects as assigned

• Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent
• Must possess and maintain a valid (State of Michigan) driver's license
• Ability to work an assigned eight hour schedule between 6:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m.
• Successful completion of a physical and job-related functional screening assessment
• Ability to repetitively lift 40 lbs., infrequently lift 70 lbs., and push/pull 67.5 lbs.
• Must possess a basic understanding in the use and operation of a personal computer
