Edgewood Early Childhood Center is seeking a dedicated Preschool Lead Teacher to create a nurturing, engaging, play-based learning environment for preschool-aged children. This role focuses on curriculum implementation, staff leadership, family partnerships, and compliance with licensing and program standards.

Responsibilities:
  • Implement curriculum using Creative Curriculum and Teaching Strategies GOLD
  • Support children's social-emotional, physical, and cognitive development.
  • Create a positive classroom environment that promotes independence and self-confidence
  • Supervise, mentor, and support classroom staff
  • Complete developmental assessments and maintain accurate documentation
  • Communicate and partner effectively with families
  • Ensure compliance with childcare licensing and program requirements
  • Provide at least 7 hours per day of in-ratio classroom coverage
  • Attend staff meetings, professional development, and conferences
  • Perform other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications:
  • Child Development Associate (CDA) credential or higher
  • Experience working with preschool-aged children
  • Knowledge of developmentally appropriate practices
  • Strong communication and leadership skills
  • Ability to meet all state licensing and background check requirements
