Pinchin is seeking a Project Manager to join our Site Investigation Services (SIS) team in Berkley, MI and/or Okemos, MI
. The role reports to the Team Leader

Site Investigation Services Overview

The Site Investigation Services (SIS) team is a core group within Pinchin’s Environmental Due Diligence and Remediation (EDR) department. Our work helps clients understand the environmental conditions of their properties so they can make informed, responsible decisions. By assessing soil, groundwater, soil gas, and site impacts, we help uncover risks, guide compliance, and support safe land use. The SIS team plays a key role in protecting communities and improving the places where people live and work.

You will work closely with colleagues and clients to understand their goals and deliver solutions that reflect quality, integrity, and care. This is meaningful work with real impact, and you will grow your skills while contributing to projects that make buildings and environments better.

Your Role and Action as Project Manager

  • Develop and execute project plans, ensuring adherence to timelines and budget constraints.
  • Prepare and/or review technical work plans outlining project methodologies, objectives, and deliverables.
  • Establish and maintain positive client relationships through effective communication, and deliverables.
  • Generate comprehensive and accurate reports detailing projects progress, findings, and recommendations.
  • Work directly with clients and stakeholders to understand and manage the project goals, timeline, and milestones.
  • Manage project profitability by ensuring appropriate budgeting/pricing and utilization of resources and cost controls.
  • Be a public relations ambassador by being proactive in presenting and communicating the capabilities and strengths of the company to all publics.
  • Communicate and present potential new business or resource information, competitive situations, or technology/regulatory factors to leadership.
  • Task management and coordination, client interaction, and data management.
  • Maintain a culture of safety by ensuring compliance with safety and environmental regulations.
  • Other duties as assigned.

What You'll Bring to Pinchin

The right candidate brings a mix of technical ability, curiosity, accountability, and a genuine interest in creating better outcomes for clients, communities, and the environment. You value collaboration, learning, and respectful teamwork.

  • Bachelor’s degree in environmental science preferred.
  • 7‑10 years of experience with transactional due diligence in the Midwest Regions including Phase II ESAs, BEAs, Due Care Reports, Response Activity Plans, No Further Action Plans.
  • A strong working knowledge of Michigan environmental regulations including Parts 201, 213, 31, 111, 115 is required, as well as a demonstrated track record of obtaining regulatory approvals for submitted plans and reports.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
  • Strong writing and documentation skills.
  • Ability to read technical specifications, drawings, and reports.
