Grievance and Training Specialist

The Michigan Corrections Organization (MCO) SEIU Local 526M represents approximately 5,500 Corrections Officers and Forensic Security Assistants throughout Michigan. MCO is looking for an organized individual with attention to detail. Qualified applicants must be willing to work long and unusual hours if needed. The Grievance and Training Specialist is responsible for managing all aspects of processing grievances and the initial and ongoing training of all chapter officials and stewards.

The Grievance and Training Specialist will work closely with the Legal Department and the facility chapters as well as the Grievance Committee and the Executive Board on appeals. The Grievance and Training Specialist will also be responsible for providing administrative support to all staff and departments when needed. Wages are controlled by a Collective Bargaining Agreement starting at $49,836.80.
