Eaton County Jail-based Substance Use & Behavioral Health Master's Clinician

Eaton County Jail-based Master’s - level Clinician – Mental Health ~ Addiction Services Therapist

Location: Charlotte Substance Use and Behavioral Health Outpatient Clinic
Status: Full Time
Wage: Starting at $57,200 annually (based on applicable experience)
Schedule: This is a hybrid role. Schedules will be based on communication with supervisor and client needs
License Requirement: Clinical supervision is available for LLMSWs and other limited licensed clinicians working toward full licensure.

We are currently looking for either a fully licensed or limited licensed clinician to join our Eaton County team.

Unique Opportunity – Eaton County Jail Program
As a Master’s Clinician specializing in Substance Use Disorder, you will deliver person-centered behavioral health and substance use treatment services within the Eaton County Jail and our clinic in Charlotte.

  • Primarily deliver jail-based services in collaboration with correctional staff, probation officers, court personnel, and community partners.
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop individualized treatment plans.
  • Provide individual counseling and facilitate therapeutic groups for justice-involved individuals.
  • Support crisis intervention and stabilization efforts within the correctional environment.
  • Maintain a smaller outpatient clinic caseload to promote continuity of care and ongoing recovery support.
  • Help individuals begin and sustain recovery during incarceration.
  • Assist clients with successful transition and reintegration into the community upon release.
  • Gain diverse clinical experience across correctional and outpatient behavioral health settings.
  • Make a meaningful impact on the lives of individuals affected by mental health and substance use challenges.
  • Provide individual and family therapy as well as case management support
  • Maintain timely and accurate clinical documentation, including service plans, progress notes, and discharge summaries
  • Monitor treatment quality and assess effectiveness in achieving client goals
  • Conduct community outreach, networking, and marketing to build referral sources and partnerships
  • Represent Samaritas’ mission and values with professionalism and integrity
  • Participate in team meetings, clinical supervision, and organizational trainings
  • Ensure compliance with quality assurance standards and regulatory requirements
