Summary:

Responsible for organizing and providing oversight to deployment and release activities for applications preparing for deployments to an environment.

Responsibilities

Create and maintain necessary release documentation, including cadence and release notes where applicable.

Develop metrics to measure release capabilities of the organization.

Assist the organization on their journey to enable more frequent releases.

Participate in strategic initiatives that enable automated testing and continuous delivery practices.

Ensure audit requirements are met, or properly updated to reflect changes to the release process.

Partner with feature teams and shared services to coordinate release enabling work (e.g., network and infrastructure dependencies).

Act as the single point of contact for release activities in progress, including on-site support, managing emails, release bridge lines, or applicable chat tools.

Continuously improve the release process.

Participate in the creation of the maintenance calendar to minimize downtime impact on releases.

Partner with automation teams to enable product owners to manage deployments while providing necessary oversight.

Measure and monitor progress to ensure releases are delivered on time and meet expectations.

Maintain release calendars and the schedule of maintenance activities relevant to release coordination.

Technologies & Methodologies

Uses Agile methodologies (e.g., Scrum or SAFe) and tools to manage Agile user stories (e.g., Version One);
Automated Testing and Continuous Delivery.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Electronics Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
Five (5) years of progressive post-baccalaureate experience coordinating software releases, infrastructure upgrades for enterprise production systems, or related occupation.
Five (5) years of experience with each of the following (may be concurrent):
- Organizing and providing oversight to deployment and release activities for applications preparing for deployments to an environment.
- Creating and maintaining release documentation, including cadence and release notes where applicable.
- Ensuring audit requirements are met or updated to reflect changes to the release process.
- Partnering with automation teams to enable product owners to manage deployments with oversight.
- Utilizing Agile methodologies (e.g., Scrum or SAFe) and tools to track Agile user stories (e.g., Version One);
  Automated Testing and Continuous Delivery.

Note:

All experience may have been gained concurrently and after completion of the Bachelor’s Degree program. This position is hybrid with an in-office requirement; candidate must reside within commuting distance of Okemos, MI and be able to work in-office as required.
