Senior Accountant
Oklahoma City, OK
Key Responsibilities- Lead and execute the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, including preparation and review of journal entries and account reconciliations
- Prepare and analyze financial statements and supporting schedules to ensure accuracy and completeness
- Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, identifying and resolving discrepancies
- Support internal and external audits by preparing requested documentation and responding to inquiries
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and company accounting policies and procedures
- Assist with the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and variance analysis
- Analyze financial data and provide insights to management to support decision‑making
- Identify opportunities to improve processes, strengthen controls, and increase efficiency
- Assist with implementation of new accounting standards, systems, or process improvements
- Provide guidance and mentorship to staff accountants or junior team members
- Participate in special projects and ad‑hoc financial analysis as needed
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required
- 3–6+ years of progressive accounting experience
- Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting requirements
- Experience with general ledger systems and ERP platforms
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
