Position Profile

Weaver is looking for a Senior Associate in Corporate Tax. The ideal candidate will be a CPA or CPA candidate with 2+ years of public accounting experience and a desire to specialize in Corporate Tax. The role is corporate tax‑focused, requiring a strong work ethic, self‑stimulation and an understanding of spring and fall busy‑season demands. The candidate should be a team player who exhibits initiative, accepts responsibility, communicates effectively, and manages multiple concurrent assignments of varying sizes and complexity.

Qualifications

– Required
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
  • CPA candidate
  • 2+ years in public accounting
  • Knowledge of corporate tax
  • Experience preparing federal tax returns
  • Experience preparing ASC 740 income‑tax provisions
Qualifications – Preferred
  • Master’s degree in Accounting
  • CPA license
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Team orientation and strong interpersonal skills
Compensation and Benefits

Approximate compensation range: $90,000 to $130,000 for positions in the California and New York metropolitan areas. Compensation is based on experience, skills, certifications, and geography. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, disability, life insurance, a 401(k) plan, flexible scheduled time off, minimum of 56 hours of sick and safe leave, 11 holidays, and two scheduled recharge days.

We also provide in‑house CPE and learning opportunities through our internal Learning & Development department, covering technical improvement, practice development, management/leadership training, and whole‑life growth.
