Senior Accountant

LHH is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our Accounting team in their Oklahoma City office. This role serves as a key contributor within the department, performing advanced accounting functions while supporting the Accounting Manager in overseeing daily operations. The anticipated salary for this role is between $65,000 - $75,000.

• Prepare and review monthly management and board‑level financial reports to ensure accuracy and completeness
• Analyze general ledger activity and perform detailed variance analysis with clear explanations
• Assist financial institution clients with budget preparation and presentation support
• Serve as a primary point of contact for accounting‑related questions, research, and procedural guidance
• Support the Accounting Manager in overseeing accounting workflows and internal processes
• Review work prepared by accounting staff and provide constructive feedback and guidance
• Assist in training and mentoring accounting team members and new personnel on accounting procedures
• Develop, update, and maintain accounting policies, procedures, and documentation
• Participate in system enhancements, process improvement initiatives, and special projects

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting required
• 3-5 years of accounting experience, preferably within a financial services environment
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including intermediate Excel skills
• Ability to quickly learn and navigate accounting or financial software systems
• Exceptional attention to detail and strong organizational skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly explain accounting concepts
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and critical‑thinking abilities
• Prior experience in a senior‑level or lead accounting role preferred
