Position Summary
The Senior Accountant will be responsible for owning assigned accounting processes and supporting the financial reporting activities of Flogistix, a multi-entity oilfield services and manufacturing organization. Flogistix operates as a subsidiary of Flowco Holdings, Inc., a publicly traded company.
Essential Functions- Own assigned accounting functions and serve as the primary accounting resource and point of contact for those areas
- Lead month‑end close activities for assigned areas, including preparation of journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules
- Perform financial statement and account analysis for assigned areas
- Support parent‑company reporting requirements through preparation of schedules, analyses, and supporting documentation
- Collaborate with operations, supply chain, manufacturing, and other departments to ensure accurate financial reporting
- Assist with annual financial, tax, vendor, and other audits by preparing supporting schedules and responding to audit requests
- Research accounting issues for conformity with GAAP and company policy and recommend appropriate accounting treatment
- Assist with training and development of accounting personnel
- Timely and effectively complete miscellaneous projects and tasks as assigned
- Continually drive ongoing process and procedural improvements, including internal controls, within the accounting department and company
- Bachelor’s degree required, Master’s degree preferred in Accounting, Finance, and/or equivalent
- CPA‑eligible required, CPA preferred
- Minimum 3‑5 years accounting experience required
- Oil and gas, manufacturing, or industrial services experience preferred
- Net Suite ERP experience preferred
- Strong understanding of GAAP and accounting principles
- Ability to gather, analyze, and interpret financial information
- Strong spreadsheet skills using Microsoft Excel
- Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and effectively prioritize responsibilities
- Strong problem‑solving and analytical skills
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Understanding of internal controls and SOX requirements
- Ability to partner effectively with operational departments and business leaders
- Ability to maintain organized and audit‑ready supporting documentation
- Ability to research accounting issues and recommend appropriate accounting treatment
