Plant Controller

Compensation: $115,000 - $130,000 Base Salary + 10% Bonus

Our client, a growing manufacturing organization, is seeking a Plant Controller to lead plant-level accounting and finance activities. This role will partner closely with operations leadership to drive profitability, improve manufacturing performance, and support strategic decision-making.

• Lead all plant accounting and financial reporting activities
• Manage cost accounting, inventory valuation, and manufacturing analysis
• Analyze labor, material, and overhead costs to identify savings opportunities
• Develop and maintain product costing models and support pricing decisions
• Prepare budgets, forecasts, variance analyses, and monthly financial results
• Partner with plant leadership to improve operational efficiency and profitability
• Support new business quoting and capital investment analysis
• Oversee month-end close and ensure accurate financial reporting
• Calculate and maintain burden rates, labor rates, and manufacturing cost standards
• Manage inventory controls and support physical inventory processes
• Lead and develop the local accounting team
• Provide financial guidance and decision support to plant and corporate leadership

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• 5+ years of accounting or finance experience within a manufacturing environment
• Strong cost accounting and inventory accounting experience
• Experience supporting plant operations and manufacturing leadership teams
  
  Advanced Excel skills and ERP system experience
• Excellent analytical, communication, and leadership skills

• Automotive or industrial manufacturing experience
• Exposure to Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma environments
