Transactional Auditor I – Agency 640

The Transactional Auditor plays a crucial role by conducting a wide‑range of audits, including audits of licensed operators to determine statutory and procedural compliance. The position is full‑time with an annual salary of $47,379.07 and offers a comprehensive benefits package.

• Analyze and verify reports submitted by licensed operators and make necessary documentary and/or monetary adjustments.
• Investigate relevant legal and policy issues.
• Prepare audit reports documenting conclusions and provide recommendations.
• Resolve audits and bring licensed operators into compliance.
• Identify persistent error trends and report those trends immediately to management.
• Participate in a phone bank and answer phone calls and emails on a daily basis.
• Assist in training new licensed operators (LevelII) as needed.
• Assist with training new employees (LevelII and III).
• Review other employees' completed audits for accuracy, completeness and compliance (LevelIII).
• Communicate findings to supervisor.
• Review and update division policy and procedures to reflect needs of Service Oklahoma (LevelIII).

Requires knowledge of mission, vision, standards, policies and procedures, operating instructions, confidentiality standards, and code of ethical behavior. Requires understanding of modern office methods and computer technology related to accounting systems. Demonstrates ability to work with sensitive materials with discretion, work effectively in a team environment, actively participate in development and evaluation of program objectives, review and analyze accounting records and business practices, perform audit functions independently, and carry out complex accounting, auditing and fiscal procedures.

• LevelI:
  Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business or public administration, or related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• LevelII:
  Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business or public administration, or related field; plus one (1) year of bookkeeping, auditing, accounting, or similar field, or equivalent.
• LevelIII:
  Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business or public administration, or related field; plus two (2) years of bookkeeping, auditing, accounting, or similar field, or equivalent.

  Entry level – performs routine audits, reviews, investigations, or assists in more complex audits as a member of an audit team.
• LevelII
  :
  Career level – responsible for conducting or participating in a wide range of audit assignments, including independent audits, training, or supervision of less experienced auditors.
• LevelIII
  :
  Subject‑matter expert – performs advanced work involving a wide range of audit functions, audits of an unusually complex nature, or other similar work.

The schedule may vary and require flexibility, including early or late shifts, weekends, and occasional overtime. Occasional travel may be required. The selected candidate must be willing and able to perform all job‑related travel. State vehicles may be available, but reliable transportation may be required for local travel.
