Senior Accountant Job Description

Salary: $100,000 - $125,000 per year

We are currently seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Accountant to join our team. • 1. Preparing accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and yearly financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
• 2. Managing the cash accounting process, including cash flow forecasting, and ensuring that all cash transactions are accurately recorded.
• 3. Leading the financial reporting processes, including internal and external reporting, and ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations.
• 4. Assisting with budget preparation and financial planning processes.
• 5. Performing variance analyses and preparing account reconciliations.
• 6. Conducting complex financial analysis and reporting on financial performance.
• 7. Collaborating with external auditors, providing necessary information and preparing requested documentations.
• 8. Implementing and maintaining internal financial controls and procedures.
• 9. Providing financial insights and recommendations to the management for decision-making purposes.

• 1. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field. A Master’s degree or CPA certification would be a plus.
• 2. A minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting or related field, preferably within the energy industry.
• 3. Proficient in financial reporting, cash accounting, and other related accounting practices.
• 4. Strong knowledge of GAAP and other accounting principles, laws, and regulations.
• 5. Excellent analytical skills with an attention to detail.
• 6. Strong computer skills, particularly with accounting software and MS Excel.
• 7. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• 8. Ability to work independently, manage large, complex projects, and meet deadlines.
• 9. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound decisions based on accurate and timely analyses.
• 10. High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation.
