Primary Function
The Shared Financial Services Accountant provides superior financial management service to our Shared Financial Services clients. This position provides accurate, timely bookkeeping and accounting services to multiple client organizations per established Client contracts. This role maintains financial records, processes transactions, prepares reports, and supports clients with reliable financial information while ensuring confidentiality and compliance. The Shared Financial Services Accountant will provide administrative support to our growing Shared Financial Services Program.

- Record daily financial transactions.
- Reconcile bank, credit card, and loan accounts
- Manage accounts payable and receivable.
- Advise on payroll preparation requirements and reporting compliance and/or coordinate with payroll providers
- Maintain general ledger and journal entries.
- Prepare monthly financial statements and management reports.
- Assist with budgets, audits, and tax preparation readiness.
- Monitor cash flow and resolve accounting discrepancies.
- Maintain accounting software (e.g. Quick Books Online).
- Communicate professionally with clients and meet deadlines.
- Provide general administrative functions such as expense reporting, budget oversight, consultation with other team members, and attendance at scheduled meetings.
- May be asked to present financial reports to client management and board members.
- Generate reports for staff and the board of directors as requested.
- Maintain professionalism, organizational standards and confidentiality as a representative of OKCNP to all donors, members, and other key stakeholders.
- Represent OKCNP’s values in working with clients and colleagues.
- Engage in professional development activities such as training, conferences, research and coaching.
- Participate in OKCNP’s special events, including ONE and Visions, and board meetings as requested.
- Maintain strict confidentiality at all times.
- Must be able to sit for long periods, lift more than 5 pounds, navigate stairs, communicate on telephone and in person, work on a computer, and be able to speak in public.
- Ability to travel throughout the state and outside of Oklahoma as needed.
- Other duties may be assigned by the Director of Shared Financial Services.
Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field preferred; 3+ years accounting experience; proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Excel; strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills. Supervisory experience a plus.
ExperienceA minimum of 3-5 years experience in nonprofit accounting experience is strongly preferred; CPA certification preferred but not required.
Reports toDirector of Shared Financial Services with overall oversight by the Chief Financial Officer.
