Position Summary

The Corporate Accountant plays a key role in the Company’s daily, monthly, quarterly, and annual accounting processes.
This position supports a variety of corporate accounting functions and works closely with accounting leadership, operational teams, and other departments to ensure the completeness and accuracy of financial records. The Corporate Accountant is responsible for maintaining accurate accounting records across multiple areas, including fixed assets, capital and expense accruals, account reconciliations, cash activity, and other general ledger functions. The position also provides analytical and reporting support to management and assists with the Company’s annual financial statement audit.
- Maintain and update fixed asset records, including additions, disposals, transfers, depreciation, and related calculations
- Work closely with property tax group in proper valuation and recording of ad valorem taxes
- Assist AP and revenue groups to ensure proper recording of monthly cash transactions
- Prepare and maintain monthly capital expenditure reporting and analysis
- Assist with annual financial statement audit field work
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
- 3+ years of progressive accounting experience, including upstream oil & gas
- Experience with an ERP system; SAP experience preferred
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
- Effective written and verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate across departments
