Welcome to Love's! The Accounting Operations team is looking for an experienced Collections Specialist to be responsible for collection calls, account reconciliation, store support, and correspondence in a customer service-oriented environment. Additionally, the candidate will provide customer service regarding collection issues, resolve client discrepancies and short payments, and monitor and maintain assigned accounts.
Job Functions- Correspond with identified fleets in collection to resolve issues in a timely fashion:
- Contact fleet representatives to communicate collection items.
- Prepare emails or collection spreadsheets to send collection items to fleets.
- Follow up within 72 business hours with fleets to ensure approval.
- Send items to the Billing Company for processing.
- Research and verify that items in collection are accurate and complete:
- Collaborate with internal and external teams as necessary to confirm all information is correct.
- Review collections reports to ensure timely collection efforts:
- Review the In Collections report daily for accounts.
- Review KPIs weekly to maintain productivity.
- Manage aging to ensure high risk outstanding funds are resolved with priority.
- Other duties assigned as needed.
- HS Diploma or equivalent required.
- 1-3 years of collections or related experience.
- Credit/Fleet Card or Customer Service experience is a plus.
- Hard skills:
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, emphasis on Excel and Outlook; knowledge of billing and collections procedures. - Soft skills:
Excellent oral and verbal communication skills; ability to prioritize and multitask; strong attention to detail; time management skills; team player.
- Requires prolonged sitting, some bending and stooping.
- Occasional lifting up to 25 pounds.
- Manual dexterity sufficient to operate a computer keyboard and calculator.
- Requires normal range of hearing and vision.
