POSITION
DESCRIPTION:
The Camp Registrar is responsible for overseeing all enrollment, registration, and administrative processes for camp and youth programs. This role ensures accurate records, clear communication with families and staff, and a high level of member service while supporting the mission and values of the YMCA.

Our summer camp staff will help support the work we do at the YMCA, by helping create a positive, nurturing environments for all our campers and staff. They will also help each camper reach their fullest potential and deepen their connections as part of their overall camp experience.
Requirements
Member & Family Experience
- Provide exceptional customer service to families, participants, and staff.
- Serve as a primary point of contact for camp and program registration inquiries.
- Clearly communicate program details, policies, procedures, and deadlines.
- Handle high daily call and email volumes with professionalism and care.
- Enroll participants in camp and youth programs using Camp Brain registration systems and working with membership system Pulse.
- Maintain accurate and up‑to‑date enrollment records and participant files.
- Prepare and organize registration paperwork and parent packets.
- Support record keeping for program compliance and reporting.
Communication & Financial Coordination
- Communicate enrollment updates and participant needs with program and site leadership.
- Monitor accounts and communicate balances due to families with empathy and professionalism.
- Assist families in understanding payment options in accordance with YMCA policies.
- Perform clerical, data entry, and administrative duties in alignment with YMCA standards.
- Collaborate as a member of the Child Care and Camp team to support program success.
- Contribute to retention efforts by ensuring a smooth and welcoming registration experience.
- Uphold YMCA child abuse prevention policies and safety standards at all times.
- Support a culture of inclusion, belonging, and respect.
- Participate in required trainings and maintain compliance with YMCA policies.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required; some college preferred
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously
- High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and reliability
- Comfort with phone communication and customer service
- Experience with administrative systems or registration software preferred
