Assistant to the Vice President for Finance

The position is responsible for performing a diverse range of accounting, technical, and administrative duties in a detail oriented environment in support of Finance departments. The Assistant to the Vice President for Finance will provide comprehensive administrative support to the Vice President for Finance and all other departments within the Finance division. Essential administrative support functions include but not limited to managing the oversight of Finance college policies, assisting the Vice President in day-to-day administrative tasks, providing organizational, administrative and technical support of a varying nature by performing a broad range of projects and assignments.

Minimum Education /Experience
- Associate Degree Minimum (2) years' full-time work experience in an administrative office position

Equivalency/Substitution:
Will accept (2) years' full-time related work experience in lieu of a degree for a total of (4) years' of related experience.

Physical Demands/Working Conditions - PHYSICAL/MENTALDEMANDSANDWORKINGCONDITIONS:

The work is light work which requires the person in this position to occasionally exert up to 20 pounds of force to grasp, lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects. Additionally, the following physical abilities are required:

This position may require the person to move about the College's various locations to perform the essential functions of the position.

This position requires the person to frequently communicate with and listen to internal and external constituents to perform the essential functions of the position; must be able to exchange accurate information in various situations.

This position requires the person to operate a computer; other office machinery and mobile devices to prepare reports and documents.

This position requires the person to occasionally use upper and lower body to exert force up to 20 pounds to push, pull and/or lift materials or equipment.

This position requires the person to judge, observe, and assess the accuracy, neatness, thoroughness of work assigned or to make general observations.

Work is performed in an indoor, office setting.

Work is performed in a safe and secure work environment that may periodically have unpredictable requirements or demands.

Work is performed during office hours.

Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree(2) years' full-time administrative work experience at an institution of higher education

Required Training
- Quarterly compliance training as assigned by institution

Work Hours - 40 hour work week Monday through Friday; 8:00am to 5:00pmOpportunity for flex or hybrid work schedule

Summer Hours June and July Monday through Thursday; 7:30am to 6:00pm
