General Description
The position of Printing Services Student Assistant supports the implementation of services for printed materials in support of the College’s mission and objectives.

Reports To Communications and Printing Operations Manager
What position(s) reports to this position?
None
Current OCCC student enrolled in a minimum of 6 hours for the Fall or Spring semester or enrolled in a minimum of 3 hours for the Summer semester.
OR
Current OCCC student with a Federal Work Study award.
Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide.
- Ability to read and understand directions, equipment instructions, operating manuals, and College procedures.
- Ability to perform complex filing functions.
- Access to a residential or cellular telephone.
- Ability, if needed, to work irregular hours.
- Positive human relation and communication skills.
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Windows computer operating systems and Microsoft Office software.
Physical Demands/Working Conditions
- 1. GENERAL PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS :
Medium work. This position requires the person to occasionally exert up to 50 pounds of force and frequently exert up to 20 pounds of force and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to grasp, lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects. - 2. PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES :
This position requires the person to frequently move about the Printing Services Office/Shop and the OCCC campus, position self to move, lift, pull, operate and/or inspect equipment and to assist customers. The person must frequently position self to access materials that may be above head or at ground level and use upper and lower body to exert force up to 50 pounds to grasp, pull, or lift materials or equipment.
The person must frequently remain in a standing and stationary position, communicate with and listen to administration, faculty, staff, students, customers, and others to perform essential functions, and operate a computer, printing machines/equipment, and mobile devices. The person must operate equipment that involves repetitive motions of hands, wrists, and/or fingers. - 3. VISUAL ACUITY :
This position requires the person to judge, observe and assess the accuracy, neatness, thoroughness of work assigned or to make general observations. - 4. WORKING CONDITIONS :
