Job OverviewThe Construction Manager Trainee supports construction management by assisting with job scheduling, inspecting safety compliance, completing punch lists and new home orientation tasks, maintaining site cleanliness, and addressing service issues. The role involves attending construction meetings and training sessions, engaging with division personnel, subcontractors, business partners, and homeowners to ensure smooth project execution and successful deliveries. This position provides hands‑on learning toward future leadership roles in construction management.
YourResponsibilities
- Assist in preparing and maintaining job schedules.
- Inspect and enforce job safety requirements.
- Complete punch lists and assist with new home orientation lists.
- Attend construction meetings and scheduled training classes.
- Ensure job site cleanliness and assist with model/inventory maintenance.
- Assist with service‑related issues.
- Interact daily with division personnel, subcontractors, business partners, and homeowners.
- High School Diploma or equivalent, or 0–2 years of homebuilding/construction experience.
- Construction experience preferred.
- Ability to work in a fast‑paced, team‑oriented setting.
- Effective communication skills.
- Computer literacy with proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel).
- Valid driver’s license with a good driving record.
- Valid auto insurance coverage.
This is a predominantly office‑based, sedentary position that requires operating computer equipment. Duties include speaking, hearing, bending, stooping, reaching, and carrying up to 25 lbs. Finger dexterity is required.
