Occasional travel required, primarily throughout the Oklahoma City metro area with some domestic travel
We are seeking an experienced Preconstruction Manager to lead and oversee all preconstruction activities from project conception through handoff to operations. This leadership role is responsible for delivering exceptional preconstruction services, managing client relationships, mentoring team members, and ensuring projects are positioned for success before construction begins.
Key Responsibilities:- Serve as the primary preconstruction representative to clients and project stakeholders
- Attend owner, architect, and contractor meetings while helping clients align project goals with budget expectations
- Develop conceptual budgets and perform value management analyses
- Coordinate closely with operations teams to ensure accurate project cost budgeting
- Lead and facilitate preconstruction meetings and status reporting
- Establish, maintain, and strengthen subcontractor relationships and networking efforts
- Review project cost reports, subcontract agreements, general conditions estimates, schedules, and below-the-line costs
- Assist with business development initiatives and client engagement strategies
- Ensure compliance with company standards, risk management policies, and business practices
- Provide leadership, mentorship, quarterly check-ins, and performance reviews for direct reports
- Manage multiple project priorities while maintaining quality and schedule commitments
- Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field (equivalent industry experience may be considered in lieu of education)
- 12+ years of construction industry experience
- Strong conceptual estimating and budgeting expertise
- Proven experience delivering high-level preconstruction services to clients
- Strong understanding of construction operations, logistics, estimating, and takeoff software
- Working knowledge of Autodesk software
- Excellent communication, leadership, organizational, and time management skills
- Strong math and accounting aptitude
- Established networking presence within the construction community
