Construction Superintendent

The Construction Superintendent manages the day-to-day execution of assigned construction and reconstruction projects. This role coordinates customers, subcontractors, suppliers, inspections, schedules, and job-site activities to ensure projects are completed safely, on time, within scope, and to company quality standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct preconstruction meetings, confirm project scope, and set clear expectations with customers before work begins.
  • Build and manage project schedules; coordinate subcontractors, material suppliers, deliveries, and required jurisdictional inspections.
  • Provide daily field oversight, monitor progress, and ensure work complies with plans, specifications, purchase orders, local codes, and the approved scope of work.
  • Maintain quality standards through regular job-site inspections and promptly resolve production issues, deficiencies, and punch-list items.
  • Communicate proactively with customers and internal teams, provide project updates, and document all material job activities in the project file.
  • Identify work outside the contracted scope, prepare and execute change orders, and help protect project schedule and profitability.
  • Complete final walk-throughs, secure required completion and customer-satisfaction documentation, and evaluate subcontractor and vendor performance.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED required; additional construction or business education is a plus.
  • Minimum three years of experience managing residential construction, reconstruction, or restoration projects, including coordinating subcontractors and multiple trades; five or more years preferred.
  • Working knowledge of construction methods, job-site safety, scheduling, materials, quality control, and local inspection processes.
  • Experience working directly with customers and managing subcontractors, suppliers, and project timelines.
  • Strong communication, organization, problem-solving, and basic math skills.
  • Ability to read scopes of work, plans, specifications, estimates, and purchase orders; estimating experience is preferred.
  • Established relationships with reliable subcontractors and vendors are a plus.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to successfully complete a background check, subject to applicable law.
Schedule and Job-Site Requirements
  • Full-time position with frequent local driving and regular time at active job sites.
  • Ability to walk and stand throughout the day, occasionally climb ladders, and work safely in heat, noise, and other typical construction-site conditions.

Compensation: $55,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
