The Construction Superintendent is responsible for the day-to-day field execution of assigned construction and reconstruction projects. Working under the direction of the Construction Manager, this position coordinates subcontractors, monitors quality, maintains schedules, communicates with customers, and ensures projects are completed safely and efficiently in accordance with the approved scope of work.
Key Responsibilities- Participate in project kickoff meetings with the Construction Manager and ensure field crews and subcontractors understand project expectations.
- Maintain and communicate the project schedule established by the Construction Manager; coordinate subcontractors, material suppliers, deliveries, and required jurisdictional inspections.
- Provide daily job-site oversight, monitor progress, and ensure work complies with plans, specifications, purchase orders, local codes, safety requirements, and the approved scope of work.
- Maintain quality standards through regular job-site inspections and promptly address production issues, deficiencies, and punch-list items.
- Communicate proactively with customers and internal teams, provide project updates, and document material job-site activities in the project file.
- Identify potential work outside the approved scope and communicate it promptly to the Construction Manager for pricing and approval before additional work proceeds.
- Complete final walk-throughs and secure required completion and customer-satisfaction documentation.
- High school diploma or GED required; additional construction or business education is a plus.
- Two to five years of experience supervising residential construction, restoration, remodeling, or reconstruction projects.
- Working knowledge of construction methods, job-site safety, scheduling, materials, quality control, and local inspection processes.
- Experience coordinating subcontractors and maintaining project schedules.
- Strong customer communication, organization, problem-solving, and basic math skills.
- Ability to read and execute approved scopes of work, plans, specifications, estimates, and purchase orders.
- Established relationships with reliable subcontractors and vendors are a plus.
- Valid driver's license and ability to successfully complete a background check, subject to applicable law.
- $55,000-$65,000 annual base salary, based on experience.
- Potential to earn $12,000-$20,000 annually in performance bonuses based on the successful completion of assigned jobs. Total potential compensation: $67,000–$85,000.

- Full-time position with frequent local driving and regular time at active job sites.
- Ability to walk and stand throughout the day, occasionally climb ladders, and work safely in heat, noise, and other typical construction-site conditions.
