General Laborer

General Laborer IPosition Summary Blue Sage Services is seeking motivated individuals to join our team as General Laborer I. This is an entry-level field position designed for individuals beginning a career in heavy civil construction. Laborer I team members support project crews by performing general labor tasks while developing a strong understanding of Blue Sage Services' safety standards, quality expectations, and field operations.

This position emphasizes learning, dependability, teamwork, and building the foundational skills necessary for long-term career growth within Blue Sage Services.

Key Responsibilities
• Assist with site preparation including clearing and cleanup
• Handle and transport materials, tools, and equipment safely
• Assist operators and skilled laborers with daily project activities
• Support underground utility installation and trenching operations
• Learn proper use and care of hand and power tools
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
• Follow all Blue Sage Services safety procedures, OSHA regulations, and daily JHAs
• Wear required PPE at all times
• Work collaboratively with crew members, foremen, and operators
• Demonstrate a positive attitude and willingness to learn
• Perform other duties assigned in support of project success

Qualifications & Requirements
• Eligible to work in the United States
• Construction experience preferred but not required
• Ability to perform physically demanding work
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
• Strong work ethic and dependable attendance
• Ability to follow instructions and communicate effectively
• Must pass pre-employment drug and alcohol screening

Work Environment & Schedule
• Field-based position with travel required depending on project location

Typical schedule:

Monday–Friday with overtime as needed
• Work hours may vary based on project demands and timelines
