Pediatric Dental Assistant
- Pediatric Dentistry of Oklahoma
Hours: Mon
- Thursday 8:30am - 5:00pm;
Tuesdays & Fridays rotating Surgery days 6:30am - 3:00pm
We welcome both experienced professionals and new students, looking for your first chance to work in a supportive, child‑friendly environment. Our ideal assistant is warm, friendly, and comfortable working shoulder‑to‑shoulder with doctors, delivering exceptional chairside care for pediatric patients.
A day in the life of a Pediatric Dental Assistant- Expose digital diagnostic X‑Rays
- Record clinical findings and treatment information in patient records
- Take and record medical and dental histories and vital signs of patients.
- Clean teeth, using dental instruments including toothbrush and prophy cup
- Apply fluoride varnish, Sealants, and SDF
- Instruct patients in oral hygiene and plaque control programs.
- Pour, trim, and polish study casts.
- Assist in consults and treatment of tongue and lip ties on infants and children
- Assist chairside with nitrous while utilizing behavior guidance techniques
- Assist chairside during IV Sedation
- Assist in the hospital for general anesthesia surgery cases
- Maintain a daily, weekly, and monthly cleaning schedule
- Cement stainless steel crowns, and space maintainers
- Fill and finish restorations
