ResponsibilitiesThe OHH Physician Assistant, PA-C provides comprehensive patient care and performs delegated medical services under physician supervision. This role delivers high-quality primary care, conducts clinical evaluations, supports hospital services, and ensures accurate medical documentation across outpatient and inpatient settings.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver primary care services including medical history collection, physical examinations, patient assessment, and treatment planning
Perform clinical evaluation and management of patients in an outpatient clinic setting, including independent follow-up visits
Conduct hospital rounding and evaluate new consults at assigned clinical sites
Complete History & Physical (H&P) examinations, progress notes, and discharge summaries
Interpret diagnostic tests, clinical findings, and patient responses to treatment
Maintain accurate and compliant electronic medical records (EMR) and dictate medical reports
Prepare new patients for evaluation and coordinate ongoing care plans
Respond to physician pager calls and manage patient needs while physician is in procedures, as directed
Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams to optimize patient outcomes
Build and maintain effective relationships with patients and families through patient-centered care
Ensure compliance with clinical protocols, regulatory standards, and organizational policies
Maintain schedule flexibility to meet patient care demands, including variable and extended hours as needed
Physician's Assistant - Baccalaureate degree or a minimum of two years of college credit or graduate from ARC-PA (Accreditation Review Commission on education for the Physician Assistant) approved program. Current license as a Physician Assistant with the Oklahoma Board of Medical Licensure.
Licensure/Certification: Current BLS certification required.
Experience:
Cardiology experience preferred.
