Position Summary
The focus of this position will be to enhance each teacher's ability to provide instruction that build students' academic skills by enhancing student engagement in and ownership of the learning. The PD Coordinator will work directly with administrators, Instructional Coaches, and Teachers, within the District to enhance instruction, provide support through demonstrations, collaborations and offering one on one interactions to align site level instructional decisions with district curriculum priorities.
EssentialDuties
- Support MS math teachers in implementing and monitoring district curriculum guidelines through the Instructional Coaching program.
- Provide rigorous, standards-based teaching strategies aligned to District Standards in professional development.
- Monitor, review, support, and make recommendations regarding instructional programs across the district.
- Integrate district instructional guides into campus instructional strategies to support aligned campus action plans.
- Facilitate the identification of specific, measurable, and attainable benchmarks for teacher and student performance.
- Assist staff in aligning instructional strategies with District Standards, curriculum, and assessments.
- Conduct classroom interactions (planning conferences, demonstration lessons, observations, and debriefing sessions) that support essential elements of the instructional program.
- Provide individualized classroom follow-up to support implementation of research-based instructional programs and strategies.
- Maintain awareness of current research and curriculum trends and disseminate best practices in instruction, assessment, technology, and equity.
- Provide job-embedded professional development that increases student achievement.

- Collaborate with instructional leaders to reflect on performance themes and prioritize instructional needs.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement through structured reflection, feedback, and shared accountability.
- Promote equity and high expectations through dissemination of best practices in instruction and assessment.
- Establish productive partnerships with site administrators to ensure alignment and shared responsibility for math proficiency outcomes.
- Promote a culture of data-informed decision-making in mathematics instruction and intervention.
- Model collaborative leadership and continuous improvement in supporting district math initiatives.
- Provide consistent communication and guidance to schools regarding math proficiency expectations and best practices.
- Provide technical assistance in the collection, analysis, and interpretation of student achievement data.
- Collaborate with instructional leaders to aggregate and prioritize needs and allocate resources accordingly.
- Monitor implementation of district instructional initiatives for fidelity and effectiveness.
- Ensure alignment between district curriculum, professional development, and campus action plans.
- Travel between campuses to ensure consistent implementation and support across the district.
- Perform other duties as assigned in support of district goals and accountability structures.
- Bachelor's Degree required.
- Oklahoma Teacher certificate in Secondary Math or Elementary Education and five (5) years of successful teaching experience required.
- Two (2) years as an Instructional Coach required.
- Experience in planning and monitoring district-wide instructional programs.
