Instructional Directors- HSC & Skilled Trades. Job Group: Z, Exempt/Certified. Salary Range: *$77,185 - **$95,189. Position Closing Date:
Open until filled.

Primary Function Of Position:
Provides instructional leadership, supervision, student and staff support and management of the department, in collaboration with the Instructional Director. Serves as liaison between faculty and partner schools to coordinate recruitment and enrollment activities. Essential Job Functions
  • Provide administrative supervision and support for the campus/department including coverage, knowledge of emergency operation procedures for daytime programs and could include evening events.
  • Responsible for student discipline and the monitoring of student attendance, satisfaction, and academic progress.
  • Help ensure programs meet Oklahoma Department of Career and Technology Education (ODCTE) curriculum and accreditation standards.
  • Work with instructors to promote and support student organization activities, and attend national CTSO conferences.
  • Share the responsibility of instructional staff evaluations and support development and implementation of staff professional development utilizing the district approved processes.
  • Provides student support by maintaining open communication through effective parental contact.
  • Actively participate in district committees and meetings, career program advisory committees and team meetings.
  • Work with the Career Planning department to maintain communication for enrollment, recruitment and program development.
  • Assist with budget development, staff Leave Requests, CTIMS, program processes and management for the department.
  • Ability to be present on the job as described under working conditions and contract details.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities
  • Master's degree required with emphasis in education preferred.
  • Secondary Principal Certification required.
  • Three (3) years of successful teaching, supervisory or administrative experience preferred.
  • Administrative experience in educational setting a plus.
  • Demonstrate ability in leadership, supervision of staff and experience with secondary students.
  • Experience in working with alternative students preferred.
  • Strong flexibility, time management, and organizational skills. Able to manage heavy workload and work outside of regular work schedule in order to accommodate special projects and departmental deadlines.
  • Ability to understand and meet critical deadlines.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • This position requires both possession of a valid Oklahoma Driver's license and the ability to independently drive to meetings, training locations, and other District campuses. The employee must also remain in compliance with District driving record policies.
  • Strong written communication demonstrated in both letter and email.
  • Anticipate needs, be resourceful and have ability to build strong employee partnerships within the organization.
  • Ability to cultivate, build and maintain strong long-term working relationships with individuals or organizations with diverse perspectives and backgrounds, adopting practices that promote diversity and equity, consequently maximizing opportunities for student engagement and motivation.
Working Conditions

Long periods of sitting. Ability to lift 10-25 lbs. Low-level machine noise is encountered the majority of every day. Concentrated visual effort is required. Extensive communication with internal and external customers. Reliable, dependable and punctual attendance. This is not an exhaustive list and reasonable accommodations will be made as needed.
