We are seeking a dedicated and passionate English Language Learner Teacher to join our team in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. As an ELL Teacher, you will play a crucial role in supporting non‑native English speakers in developing their language skills and academic proficiency.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement engaging lesson plans tailored to the needs of English Language Learners
  • Assess students' English language proficiency and track their progress over time
  • Collaborate with mainstream teachers to support ELL students’ success in content area classes
  • Create a supportive and inclusive classroom environment that celebrates cultural diversity
  • Utilize various instructional strategies and technologies to enhance language acquisition

    Provide individualized support and differentiated instruction to meet diverse learning needs
  • Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues regarding student progress
  • Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with ELL teaching practices
  • Assist in the development and implementation of the school's ELL program
  • Maintain accurate records of student performance and attendance
Skills & Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four‑year college or university
  • Valid Oklahoma Teaching Certificate with required certification for subject and level assigned, if applicable*
  • Demonstrated knowledge of core subject area assigned
  • Satisfactory outcome of a background check (employees responsible for a non‑refundable fingerprinting fee of approximately $60)
  • Unwavering commitment to KIPP OKC mission, scholars, families, and community
  • Strong record of helping children achieve academic success, primarily with students in educationally underserved communities
  • Strong desire to teach an academically intense curriculum and commit to an extended school day, week, and year
  • Desire to continuously learn and increase effectiveness as a teacher and professional; offer and receive constructive feedback
  • Willingness to be flexible and to go above and beyond to meet the needs of KIPP OKC scholars

* Applicants currently pursuing a certification may apply before certification is received. All certifications must be acquired and on file with KIPP OKC before the end of the first year of employment.
