Student Learning Lab Assistant — Test Proctor

Position Summary

Adult Learning Lab Assistant – Student. Support students preparing for progress testing in Adult Learning Labs at OCCC Family and Community Education Center (FACE) or Community Outreach and Education lab – Main Campus.

• Maintain sign‑in records of students visiting the Adult Learning Lab.
• Prepare and set up computers for progress testing (CASAS, TABE, etc.).
• Identify, notify, and schedule students eligible for testing.
• Promote the Adult Learning Lab by visiting classes.
• Proctor progress testing.
• Inform Enrollment Specialist about any items pertaining to progress testing.
• Abide by Board of Regents and College policies and procedures.
• Contribute to a safe educational and working environment.
• Adhere to established safety and health procedures and practices.
• Complete quarterly health and safety training per OCCC procedures.
• Participate in all applicable OCCC emergency, evacuation, and shelter‑in‑place drills.

• Must be a current OCCC student enrolled in a minimum of 6 hours (Fall/Spring) or 3 hours (Summer) or a current OCCC student with a Federal Work Study Program award.
• Basic computer skills.
• Helpful attitude.

• High School diploma or High School Equivalency.
• English/Spanish language ability.

Training in the procedures of the Adult Learning Lab upon employment.

Work hours are scheduled around the student’s schedule. Day and evening hours are available. Placement range: $10.00 per hour. Annual hours:
As needed or assigned, not to exceed 25 hours per week.
