Job Description

Cristo Rey Oklahoma City Catholic High School is seeking a qualified candidate to teach math in the 2026 - 2027 school year. Applicants are primarily responsible for the implementation and development of Cristo Rey OKC’s curriculum and the success of its students. This position will also plan, prepare, and deliver lesson plans and instructional materials that facilitate active learning.

Responsibilities
  • Implement curricula and activities to meet academic standards.
  • Design and implement assessments that measure progress toward academic standards.
  • Use assessment data to inform instructional practices.
  • Participate in collaborative curriculum development, grade-level activities, and school-wide functions.
  • Provide consistent rewards and consequences for student behavior to establish and enforce rules of behavior.
  • Participate in an annual staff orientation and training.
  • Prepare lessons, units, and projects to support mastery of academic standards.
  • Establish and communicate clear objectives for lessons, units, and projects.
  • Adapt teaching methods and materials to meet student interests and learning styles.
  • Encourage students to explore learning opportunities and career paths.
  • Create, assign, and grade assessments including tests, quizzes, essays, and projects.
  • Work with students one-on-one when they need extra help or attention.
  • Develop lesson plans and successfully instruct students in your subject area.
Qualifications
  • Openness to teaching and exemplifying one’s faith at a Catholic high school.
  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university.
  • Teaching credential/certificate/license required.
  • 2 years of teaching experience, including creating curriculum aligned to standards.
  • Bilingual speaking and writing preferred.
  • Advanced Microsoft skills.
Education
  • Bachelor's
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in education field or content area.
  • Oklahoma teacher certification in the assigned teaching field or exemption from Senior Director of Catholic Education.
  • General knowledge of the instructional process.
  • Ability and willingness to work with children of all ages.
  • Knowledge of and ability to use English correctly and appropriately.
  • Computer skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience teaching in a Catholic school.
  • Integration of technology for instruction.
  • Ability to keep records.
  • Self‑motivation and self‑direction.
  • Ability to demonstrate positive attitude, team cooperation, and positive work performance.
  • Ability to follow oral and written instructions.
  • Ability to communicate with staff, students, parents, and community professionally regarding the school program.
  • Ability to exercise independent judgment in the interrelation and application of standard practices and procedures.
