Humanities Adjunct Professor
An adjunct faculty member at Oklahoma City Community College has the primary responsibility of instruction. Secondary responsibilities include supporting the integrity of curricula, encouraging student success, and promoting the mission of the division to which the adjunct faculty member belongs as well as the College as a whole.
Position reports to Dean of Arts, English, and Humanities/Dept. Chair. Position does not report to any other position.
Minimum education/experience:
Master's Degree with 18 graduate hours in the field of Humanities or comparable graduate courses.
Required knowledge, skills & abilities:
Demonstrated positive human relations and communications skills, basic computer skills, flexible teaching style, committed to helping students achieve their goals, able to work well as a team member, ability to communicate and articulate concepts, ability to read and understand content, ability to interact in an effective and encouraging manner with students, knowledge of or willingness to learn computerized tutorial programs, punctual and reliable, knowledge of or willingness to learn computer programs and Learning Management Systems, organization and attention to detail, agreeable to meet stated expectations.

Job duties:
Primarily responsible for supporting student learning by providing quality instruction, participate in the assessment of student learning outcomes, respond to information requests, attend meetings, acquire new knowledge and skills, satisfy objectives for special assignments, support the Division's and College's vision, mission, goals, and priorities.

Abide by policies and procedures, contribute to a safe educational & working environment, adhere to safety and health procedures, complete health and safety training, participate in emergency drills.
