Position Summary:
This position will provide instruction in Automotive Service Technology. The instructor will develop and maintain a curriculum that is current and relevant while providing instruction to students through a variety of engaging and real-world strategies. The instructor will prepare students to take and pass industry certifications required for successful employment.
Qualification Requirements:
- Ability to perform each essential duty satisfactorily
- Must meet Career Tech requirements to hold or qualify for a Standard or Provisional Career Technology Teaching Certificate and have a minimum of two years' experience in the occupation
- Three years of Automotive Service Technology experience in the subject field within the past five years is preferred
- Must hold a current OK State Department of Education (OSDE)/OK Department of Career Technology Education (ODCTE) Trade & Industrial Education teaching certificate, or be willing to obtain credentials
- Associates or Bachelor's Degree preferred
- Must have or be working towards Automotive Master ASE certification.

Skills:
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos. Ability to compose and write grammatically correct correspondence and memos.
Reasoning Ability:
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, schedule form, or blueprint form.
