Job Title: Technical Assistant, Welding
Location: Metro Technology Centers, South Bryant Campus
Salary Structure: $19.00+/hr.
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 7:15 am - 3:15 pm (35 hours/week)

General Description:
Metro Technology Centers is accepting applications for a
Technical Assistant who will be responsible for assisting students in the classroom under the general direction of the classroom teacher(s) by providing supplementary instruction and guided clinical practice. Duties may vary depending upon individual and school situations.
General Qualification Requirements:
Education/
Experience:
- Associate's degree Preferred
- Three (3) years relevant experience inarea relevant to work assignment.
Preferred not required:
Bilingual in Spanish and English
Representative Duties:
- Recommends new approaches, policies, and procedures to effect continuous improvements in services to customers.
- Tutors individual students and students in small groups. Selects materials appropriate for tutorial activities but does not introduce new materials.
- Guides clinical practice of students.
- Assists faculty with paper grading and any requested paper recording.
- Assists faculty in completing required records and reports, including requested paper attendance, preliminary progress reports and conference preparation.
- Maintains inventory control records.
- Substitutes for teacher(s)/instructor(s) following Oklahoma Department of Career Technology Education, State Department of Education, and any appropriate external governing board (such as Oklahoma State Board of Cosmetology and Federal Aviation Administration) rules and regulations.
- Assist in the operation and care of equipment and materials used in the classroom for instructional purposes.
- Assists in maintenance of physical facilities, bulletin broads, housekeeping details.
Performs related duties as assigned.

- Ability to disseminate information, instruct, plan, organize, and supervise the work of others.
- Ability to prepare reports.
- Ability to work well with others.
- Ability to observe, recognize and interpret.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
Reliable, dependable, and punctual attendance.
Reports to: Immediate supervision is given by Site Administration
General direction is given by Faculty.
