Youth Coordinator
The Youth Program Coordinator is responsible for leading the vision, design, and service delivery of youth programs. This role involves developing policies, coordinating resources, and overseeing the growth and compliance of youth services to ensure effective program implementation and support.
The Youth Program Coordinator sets the strategic vision for youth programs, brings together partners, and oversees program design and service delivery. They create and implement policies for youth programs, ensuring they meet all regulatory requirements and benefit all youth. They leverage and coordinate resources among schools, public programs, and community-based organizations. They manage program growth, provide technical assistance on policies and procedures, and support case management tasks (e.g., eligibility documentation, case notes, assessments).
They ensure compliance with the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) and other regulations. They provide internal and external technical support, facilitate work groups, and serve as a liaison for WIOA Youth Program rules and regulations. They assist with special projects, including research, grant reviews, monitoring, and governance document reviews. They perform file reviews and oversight to ensure adherence to policies and performance targets.
They facilitate and lead work groups and meetings. They offer technical assistance and serve as a liaison with internal and external partners. They perform other duties as assigned. On-site attendance is an essential function of the position, as the role requires direct interaction with staff, clients, and on-site office resources.

Knowledge of –

Work is typically performed in an office setting with climate-controlled settings and exposure to moderate noise levels. While performing the duties of the job, employees are required to talk, stand, walk, and reach with hands and arms. This position requires regular periods of sitting or standing and daily use of computers and phones. It also requires the occasional use of office machinery in accordance with safety and security protocols.
Education and Experience requirements at this level consist of a bachelor's degree and two years of professional experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience, substituting one year of professional level experience for each year of the required education.
Computer Skills – Employee must be capable of proficiently using the OESC's standard software (Microsoft Office - Word, Outlook, Excel, Access, and Teams), and the Internet, as well as proficiency to learn other software as needed. Employees must be capable of lifting, carrying, and moving objects of up to 25 pounds.
