Primary Function of Position:
We are seeking a knowledgeable and experienced HVAC Adjunct Instructor to teach HVAC training courses. If you have a passion for teaching and a wealth of HVAC knowledge, we encourage you to apply for this rewarding opportunity.

- Instructs students in practical HVAC techniques.
- Provides hands‑on training and demonstrations.
- Assesses student progress and provides constructive feedback.
- Hands‑on experience in the HVAC industry.
- Previous teaching, training, mentoring, or workforce development experience preferred.
- Strong communication and instructional skills.
- Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, including installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, diagnostics, and repair of residential and commercial equipment.
- Familiarity with HVAC‑related safety standards, OSHA regulations, EPA Section 608 requirements, and industry best practices.
- Ability to demonstrate proper use of tools, equipment, testing instruments, and diagnostic procedures in a lab environment.
- Be a registered CIB Mechanical Journeyman.
Working Conditions:
Frequent walking, standing, and/or sitting and stooping. The environment will be a classroom and/or shop environment. Ability to lift 10-25 lbs. Concentrated visual effort is required. Extensive communication with internal and external customers. This is not an exhaustive list, and reasonable accommodations will be made as needed.
Organizational Relationship:
Adjunct instructor reports to the Director of Workforce and Economic Development. Not full‑time permanent employment. Instructs in approved classes as needed.
Schedule:
Varies depending on approved course offerings. Classes will be in the evening, 6-9 PM, 2 nights a week.
