POSITION:
Director of Enrollment and Academic Success, Health Sciences
Description of Duties:
Under the supervision of the Dean of the Health Sciences Division, the Director of Enrollment and Academic Success, Health Sciences Division, provides strategic leadership and operational oversight for student enrollment, academic advising, retention, course scheduling, and degree completion within the Health Sciences Division. Supervises academic advisors, oversees adjunct faculty, guides curriculum development, and leads initiatives to support academic success from entry to graduation.
Monitor and analyze enrollment, retention, and completion data for Health Science programs and identify trends and implement data-informed interventions. Lead efforts in the Health Sciences Division with faculty and administrators to evaluate and implement curriculum changes and maintain academic program quality and relevance. Oversee hiring, onboarding, and scheduling of adjunct faculty within the Health Science Division. Serve as the Health Science Academic Affairs Representative for the implementation and maintenance of Technology related to advisement, student success, and degree audit, or other related programs.
Provide leadership and supervision for academic advisors serving students in the Health Sciences Division to ensure quality, student-centered advising. Develop and execute a comprehensive strategic plan focused on student retention, completion, and graduation specific to Health Sciences programs through proactive, student-focused initiatives. Coordinate with internal stakeholders (Admissions, Financial Aid, Registrar, Academic Affairs, etc.) to align processes and remove barriers to student success.
Devise and implement strategies to recruit back former concurrent students who are not full-time students at Rose State. Work to establish a collaborative and involved culture between all individuals involved in the academic support of the student. Represent the Health Sciences Division on institutional committees and contribute to college-wide planning for student success initiatives. Develop and coordinate Health Science Division class schedules.
Oversee classroom assignments in the Health Sciences Division. Organize and supervise Health Sciences-specific recruitment events. Supervise classified staff in the absence of the Health Science Dean. Perform other related duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in Education, Leadership, Allied Health (nursing, respiratory therapy, health information management, dental hygiene, or radiology technology), Health Science, or a related field. At least three (3) years of academic advisement experience in higher education. Knowledge of best practices in academic advising, student retention, and completion strategies, particularly within health sciences fields. Strong organizational, leadership, and communication skills.
Demonstrated ability to use data for strategic planning and continuous improvement. Proven effectiveness in dealing with a diverse employee and external customer-based population. Excellent oral/written communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills. Proficiency with MS Office (Word, Outlook, and Excel). Ability to multitask, adhere to strict deadlines, and be attentive to detail. Always display the highest degree of professionalism and confidentiality. Ability to work individually and as a member of a team.
Light lifting up to 10 lbs. and light carrying up to 10 lbs. are required. Ability to reach above the shoulder. Periods of time spent sitting, standing, walking, kneeling, bending, and stooping. Mobility to move from building to building on-campus and to visit off-campus sites/facilities.

Qualifications:
Experience working in or with health sciences academic programs at the community college or university level. Familiarity with health sciences-related program accreditation standards and/or requirements. Proficiency in student information systems (e.g., Ellucian, Oracle) and experience with enrollment data analysis.
