Educator, Alpha - $100,000​/year USD

At Alpha, academic work is completed in just two hours each day through adaptive learning technology. This structure allows Guides to concentrate on what transforms lives: cultivating confidence, resilience, communication skills, and the drive to embrace difficult challenges. Your day will not be spent delivering content from the front of a room. Instead, you'll coach students through obstacles, acknowledge their successes, and model what rigorous expectations look like when combined with authentic support.

You will lead a single K-3 cohort band—Kindergarten-1st grade or 2nd-3rd grade. Approximately half of your time will be dedicated to facilitating dynamic, one-hour workshops focused on life skills such as public speaking, concentration, and constructive feedback. The remaining time is devoted to individual and small-group coaching, leveraging learning analytics to ensure each child progresses toward challenging weekly objectives. Every moment counts.

Students should exit your workshops more skilled than when they entered and leave coaching sessions with expanded belief in their own capabilities.

This position is not designed for someone seeking to deliver standard curriculum or oversee traditional classroom management. It is intended for someone who enjoys inspiring young learners, values measurable progress, and trusts that the right mentor can alter a child's path. • Facilitate dynamic life-skills workshops that enable K-3 students to develop communication, focus, feedback, and other foundational skills through active engagement rather than passive instruction.
• Provide one-on-one and small-group coaching, utilizing Coachbot analytics, established motivation frameworks, and meaningful relationships to ensure each child meets ambitious weekly learning targets.
• Evaluate life-skill proficiency using Alpha's Test2
  
  Pass system, guiding students until they exhibit genuine mastery—not simply attendance or effort.
• Tailor your coaching approach to match the developmental stage of your cohort, incorporating songs, movement, and narratives for younger students or emphasizing greater autonomy and responsibility for older learners.
• Cultivate relationships where students feel sufficiently encouraged to pursue goals beyond their perceived limits.

• Delivering academic instruction at a whiteboard. Students complete academics via adaptive software.
• Designing curriculum from the ground up. You will refine and customize established playbooks rather than creating lessons independently.
• Supervising students as they work quietly on devices. Your role centers on active coaching, encouragement, and interpersonal engagement.
• Reducing standards when students encounter difficulty. Progress is achieved by supporting students to meet the goal, not by adjusting the goal downward.

Develop a cohort of K-3 students who are enthusiastic about attending school, reliably meet ambitious learning targets, and acquire the life skills necessary to succeed well beyond their elementary years.
