The most impactful thing you can do when a student reaches 99% of their weekly target is to insist they finish. Not because you lack empathy, but because you know they are capable of completing the challenge, and accepting less is the true disservice.

You are not a classroom instructor. At Alpha, academic content is delivered through AI-powered adaptive learning platforms. No traditional lessons. No printed texts. No chalkboard instruction. Here, motivation and character development—typically treated as afterthoughts in conventional schools—are your primary responsibility.

Imagine a typical Tuesday. You spend half the day facilitating one-hour sessions with a K-8 group, covering topics like public speaking, concentration, and constructive feedback exchange. The remaining hours are dedicated to individual or small-group check-ins with those same students, reviewing their Coachbot data, and driving each one toward 100% completion of their weekly learning targets through incentive structures like school currency, leaderboards, and the trust you have cultivated.

Your quarterly success hinges on three metrics: all students in your cohort complete their weekly app targets, all students pass the Test2

Pass mastery evaluation for each session, and at least 90% report a strong positive connection with you. Falling short on any one metric means the role has not been fulfilled.

The reward comes when a student who insisted in September that they were terrible at math asks you to increase their target.

This is a full-time, in-person position at an Alpha campus. We recruit across the country, so job postings may appear in nearby cities where we do not yet operate.

If you have coached youth in sports, managed a camp group, or tutored a child on the verge of quitting, the final step before an offer is a full workday on campus coaching actual Alpha students.

• Facilitating one-hour character-building sessions for K-8 groups on topics including public speaking, concentration, and constructive feedback practices
• Conducting daily individual and small-group coaching conversations that drive every student to complete 100% of their weekly app targets, leveraging Coachbot data and Alpha's reward systems (school currency, leaderboards)
• Delivering the Test2
  
  Pass mastery evaluation for each character skill, then continuing to coach any student who does not initially pass until mastery is achieved
• Tailoring the session playbook and creating new content when needed, ensuring the material resonates with both kindergarteners and eighth graders
• Serving as both the adult who upholds high expectations and the adult your students trust and confide in

• Delivering whiteboard instruction, designing math and literacy lessons, or evaluating homework; academic teaching is embedded in the software
• Conducting standardized test preparation or being responsible for aggregate test performance
• Managing parent meetings, email correspondence, or grievances; campus leadership handles all parent communication
• Managing large groups of 30 students simultaneously; cohorts are intentionally small and behavior support is individualized
• Monitoring students passively while they use computers; motivation work here is direct and relational

Guarantee that every student in your K-8 cohort completes their weekly learning targets, achieves mastery in each life skill, and finishes the year reporting they loved school.
