Youth Development, Training Instructor / Specialist, Teacher Assistant/ Paraprofessional, Education Administration
The most meaningful support you can offer a student at 99% of their weekly target is to hold the line and expect completion. Not from lack of care, but because you trust their capacity to meet the standard—and lowering that standard is the true disservice.
You are not a classroom teacher. At Alpha, academic content is delivered through AI-driven adaptive learning platforms. No lessons from the front of the room. No physical textbooks. No dry-erase instruction. Motivation and life-skill development, typically relegated to the edges of traditional education, are central to your role here.
Imagine a typical Tuesday. Half your hours are spent facilitating one-hour workshops for a K-8 group, covering topics like public speaking, sustained attention, and constructive peer feedback. The remainder is devoted to one-on-one or small-group coaching sessions with those same learners, reviewing Coachbot data, and driving each student toward 100% completion of their weekly app targets—leveraging school currency, competitive leaderboards, and the trust you've cultivated to overcome hesitation.
Your quarterly success rests on three metrics: all students in your cohort complete their weekly app goals, all students pass the Test2
Pass mastery checkpoint for each workshop, and at least 90% report they love you. Fall short on any single metric, and you've missed the mark.
The reward comes when a student who began September convinced they couldn't do math asks you to increase their challenge level.
This is a full-time, in-person position at one of Alpha's physical campuses. We hire across the country, so job postings may appear in nearby cities where we do not yet operate.
Openings at this compensation level are currently available in Scottsdale, AZ;
Oklahoma City and Tulsa, OK;
Nashville, TN;
Dallas, Plano, Fort Worth, Houston, and Brownsville, TX;
Springfield, MA; and Park City, UT.

- Conducting daily one-on-one and small-group motivation sessions designed to guide every student to 100% completion of their weekly app targets, drawing on Coachbot analytics and Alpha's incentive structures (school currency, leaderboards)
- Delivering the Test2
Pass mastery assessment for each life skill, then providing re-coaching to any student who does not pass on the first attempt until mastery is achieved - Tailoring the workshop playbook and creating new sessions as needed to ensure the material resonates with both kindergarteners and eighth graders
- Serving as both the adult who upholds the standard and the adult your students trust enough to confide in
- Delivering whiteboard instruction, writing lesson plans for math and reading, or grading student assignments; all academic content is managed by the apps
- Conducting standardized test preparation or being held accountable for class-wide exam performance
- Managing parent conferences, email correspondence, or complaints; campus leadership handles all parent communication
- Controlling behavior for 30 students simultaneously; cohorts are small and behavior support is delivered through individual coaching
- Supervising passive screen time; motivation work here is hands-on and relational
