Travel Percentage Negligible Category Education ## Description The Lead Teacher is responsible for following the provided curriculum, delivering, and overseeing classroom instruction while fostering a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment for students with disabilities. This role requires strong leadership, adaptability, and a passion for supporting diverse learning needs.

* Key Responsibilities:

*** Implement provided lesson plans that align with individualized student needs and curriculum standards.
* Provide differentiated instruction to accommodate various learning styles and abilities.
* Lead classroom management efforts, ensuring a structured and positive learning environment.
* Collaborate with assistant teachers, support staff, and therapists to facilitate student success.
* Assess student progress and provide feedback to families and school leadership.
* Communicate effectively with parents, caregivers, and multidisciplinary teams.
* Maintain accurate student records, including attendance, assessments, and behavioral observations.
* Advocate for student needs and ensure compliance with educational and disability-related policies.
* Participate in professional development to continuously enhance instructional methods.## Qualifications* +

* Education:

** Child Development Associate (CDA) credential or Associate’s degree in Early Childhood Education, Special Education, or a related field.  +

* Experience:

** Prior teaching experience, particularly in an inclusive or special education setting.  +
*
* Skills:

** Strong leadership, instructional expertise, adaptability, and a commitment to student growth.  
*
* Physical Requirements:

**  + Ability to lift a minimum of
** 40 lbs
** to assist students with mobility and classroom needs.  + Ability to sit, stand, walk, and actively engage with students throughout the day.
