POSITION OVERVIEW

The Diversion Hub is a comprehensive, one-stop network dedicated to assisting justice-involved individuals in Oklahoma City. The Diversion Hub RESTART Team Lead will aid in developing, maintaining, and overseeing a work readiness and vocational guidance service specific to individuals under our RESTART grant in order to empower individuals with justice involvement in their career goals.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Facilitate educational and skill-building classes for participants at the Diversion Hub and other designated other sites;
  • Develop, adapt, and maintain class curriculum and instructional materials that support participant success and align with Diversion Hub programming.
  • Create a welcoming, respectful, and recovery-oriented learning environment that promotes participant engagement and accountability.
  • Utilize effective group facilitation techniques to encourage participation, discussion, and skill development.
  • Adapt teaching methods to meet the needs of diverse learning styles and participant populations.
  • Maintain accurate class rosters, attendance records, and participant documentation.
  • Submit attendance verification and other required documentation to courts, referral partners, and internal staff in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Track participant progress and ensure documentation complies with agency and court requirements.
  • Assist with evaluating program effectiveness and updating curriculum based on participant feedback and program needs.
  • Collaborate with Diversion Hub staff and community partners to ensure coordinated service delivery.
  • Ensure RESTART program is following the set forth structure and processes that are developed to address target client populations within the 4-week cohorts established for cohort population.
  • Learn and implement the overall objectives set forth within the RESTART grant and program and as designated by the Manager of Workforce Development;
  • Lead and support RESTART team members under the direct supervision of the Manager of Workforce Development by ensuring overall team goals, grant goals, objectives, and service delivery are implemented on a continual basis.
  • Assist in development of RESTART team members that align with overall grant objectives and organizational mission.
  • Assist in overall tracking of program clients, progress, and overall data collection of RESTART team and its members.
  • Ensure RESTART team members are helping develop clients in connecting them to appropriate workforce programs/education through the continuum of service delivery.
RESTART GRANT OBJECTIVES
  • This RESTART Initiative will enroll a minimum of 340 justice-involved adults aged 25 and older across Oklahoma County within a two-year period.
  • Make communities safer by reducing crime and decreasing rates of recidivism among reentrants;
  • Increase the number of workers with the skills necessary to enter job sectors with high workforce needs, aligned to the labor market demands of states and regions, such as the manufacturing, maritime, and other transportation industries; and
  • Develop partnerships and pathways that lead directly to sustainable, high-wage employment and placements in Registered Apprenticeships
  • Obtain at least 67 apprenticeships for identified program clients to help develop further workforce opportunities

Participants you will be working with are eligible to receive services provided through this program:
For adult-serving programs, eligible participants must:
Be at least 25 years old on the date of enrollment;
Reside in the applicant’s targeted geographic area, or plan to return to the area upon release from incarceration; and
Have had adult criminal justice system contact, defined as one of the following:
Previous incarceration in a state correctional facility, federal correctional institution, or local or county jail and released any time after March 31, 2020;
Under the supervision of the criminal justice system, either in out-of-home placements (e.g., residential reentry centers), on probation, or on parole;
Current alternative sentence by the adult criminal justice system; or,
Current diversionary program of the adult criminal justice system.
