Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Engineer to join our dynamic team. This position involves providing mechanical engineering design, guidance, and documentation from schematic design through construction administration. The successful candidate will collaborate within a multi-disciplinary team to deliver high-quality solutions and support client communication and site investigations.
Responsibilities
* Provide mechanical engineering design, guidance, and documentation from schematic design through construction administration.
* Develop detailed mechanical drawings and specifications using Revit MEP or other modeling software.
* Perform mechanical engineering tasks including design narratives, calculations, equipment selections, drafting, and production of contract documents.
* Apply applicable codes, design guidelines, company standards, and engineering judgment to deliver high-quality solutions.
* Coordinate project priorities and contribute to effective collaboration within a multi-disciplinary team.
* Support client communication, site investigations, and professional coordination efforts.
* Monitor time spent on assigned projects and maintain accurate daily records.
* Maintain and update office systems including BIM libraries, filing systems, and project management tools.
* Participate in site visits, coordination meetings, and visits to satellite offices as needed.
* Collaborate with the Mechanical Director and design team to improve design methods, workflows, and technical standards.
* Attend internal meetings and report regularly on project progress.
* Support marketing initiatives, proposal development, interviews, and level-of-effort estimates.
* Mentor and support the professional development of junior team members.
Essential Skills
* Mechanical Engineering Design Expertise:
Proven ability to develop mechanical systems designs, calculations, equipment selections, and technical documentation across all project phases.
* Construction Documentation Proficiency:
Strong knowledge of construction specifications, contract documents, and drawing standards.
* Design Software & BIM Literacy:
Advanced proficiency using Revit MEP or similar building information modeling platforms for mechanical design.
* Project Management Support:
Ability to manage priorities, track time, and contribute effectively within a multi-disciplinary project team.
* Professional Communication:
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a strong attention to detail.
Additional
Skills & Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in Engineering Services, Architectural Engineering, Construction Science, or a related field from an ABET-accredited institution.
* 5-10 years of experience in the construction or engineering industry.
* Passed Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam.
* Knowledge of Owner-Architect, Owner-Contractor, and Architect-Consultant agreements.
* Strong organizational skills with a demonstrated ability to follow through on commitments.
* Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, Bluebeam, and related tools.
* Willingness and ability to travel for site visits and coordination as required.
Work Environment
The position is based in the office with travel to VA facilities roughly 5 days out of the month. Work locations can include OKC, KC, or Tempe. Employees enjoy 100% health coverage for self and family, and relocation packages are negotiable.

This is a Permanent position based out of Oklahoma City, OK.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $105000.00 - $150000.00/yr.
