PLEASE NOTE:

This is a 24 hour plant and this position is a 2-2-3 work schedule (Panama Schedule) working TWO 12 hour days, 2 days off, then THREE 12 hour days.

American Tissue Industries, a Solaris Paper Company, is among the fastest-growing tissue manufacturers in the United States, with production facilities strategically located in California, Oklahoma, and Virginia.

We are seeking a Maintenance Technician (Electro-Tech) that will troubleshoot, maintain, tests and repairs electrical, mechanical, Mechatronics, Hydraulic and pneumatic systems and components.

Duties
  • Troubleshoots and repairs equipment.
  • Installs, starts up and shuts down equipment in accordance with company safety procedures.
  • Performs preventive maintenance functions.
  • Plans and performs work requiring a thorough knowledge of electrical, mechanical, and electro-mechanical equipment, including programmable controllers, variable frequency drives, sensors, power supplies, powered and mechanical drives, gauges and test equipment.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Provide technical assistance and resolution when electrical, mechanical or electromechanical problems occur.
  • Assemble electrical, electronic, electro-mechanical systems and prototypes according to engineering data and knowledge of electrical and electro-mechanical principles, using hand tools, powered tools, and measuring instruments.
  • Install and maintain electrical/electronic control systems, electro-mechanical systems, and solid state equipment.
  • Modify electrical and electro-mechanical prototypes, parts, assemblies, and systems to correct functional deviations.
  • Build, calibrate, maintain, troubleshoot and repair electrical, electro-mechanical instruments, and/or testing equipment.
  • Willing to work over normal shift for break downs or shift coverage with little or no notice.
Preferred Experience
  • 3+ years of experience in mechanical and electrical trade position in a highly technical manufacturing environment.
  • Robot, case packer and wrapper troubleshooting experience.
