The KC-135 is the mainstay of the USAF tanker fleet. This is an exciting opportunity to utilize mechanical systems expertise to make an immediate and long-lasting impact on KC-135 fleet availability.

• Supports the development and documentation of mechanical and fluid system and thermal environment
• Supports the development, maintenance or modification of system designs/proposals to provide design documentation and high‑level requirements to downstream users/customers
• Performs detail design development and modification of mechanical and fluid system installations
• Performs spatial integration at system or component level and modification of mechanisms/landing gear/ordinance systems
• Assists in preparing technical documents for mechanical components and systems
• Assists in supporting proposal preparation and new business development efforts
• Works under general supervision

• Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering (with a focus on Mechanical, Civil, Aerospace Aeronautical or Material Sciences)
• 5 or more years’ related engineering experience
• 3+ years of experience with troubleshooting aircraft systems
• 3+ years of experience with aircraft modifications

• Previous experience working with aircraft fuel systems
• Previous experience with project management
• 10 or more years’ related engineering experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
• Master’s degree

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

Summary pay range Mid-Level: $96,050 - $129,950

Summary pay range Senior: $118,150 - $159,850
