Safety Manager I/II
This position is located in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
Annual Salary:
- Level I J30A - $70,817.33 + Full State Employee Benefits
- Level II J30B - $77,899.07 + Full State Employee Benefits
Travel is EXTENSIVE. Must possess a valid driver's license and must maintain required car insurance. Days worked will be Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
Minimum QualificationsFleet Specialist, Level I
- Education and experience requirements at this level consist of a bachelor’s degree in safety, industrial hygiene, or a closely related field plus five (5) years of professional experience in industrial relations, safety, safety inspection, safety education, transportation management, engineering, human resources, or risk management;
- OR an equivalent combination of education and experience, substituting one year of professional qualifying experience for each year of the required education.
Fleet Specialist, Level II
- Education and experience requirements at this level consist of a bachelor’s degree in safety, industrial hygiene, or a closely related field plus six (6) years of professional experience in industrial relations, safety, safety inspection, safety education, transportation management, engineering, human resources, or risk management;
- OR an equivalent combination of education and experience, substituting one year of professional qualifying experience for each year of the required education.
- Ensure occupational health and safety (OSHA) compliance in the workplace.
- Identify safety program goals that address the agency’s training requirements.
- Identify security concerns and track reporting to validate or update them.
- Match workplace hazards to procedures to reduce exposure to clients and staff.
- Supervise subordinate staff to support the agency in providing services on time.
- Documentation:
Maintain accurate records of incidents, training, inspections, and safety data sheets (SDS). - Equipment & PPE:
Manage the purchase, distribution, and inspection of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
* Preference may be given to applicants who possess Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) training on the incident command system.
