Overview
A&P Technical Support - Mike Monroney Aeronautical Center, OKC (FAA, OK)
Responsibilities- Maintain, troubleshoot, repair, replace, modify, install, calibrate, test, evaluate, and ensure airworthiness of all A&P equipment, parts, components, or systems on aircraft (e.g., skin, engine, brakes, galley, hydraulics, sheet metal, et al).
- Perform general maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, replacement, modification, installation, calibration, test, and evaluations on FIS aircraft airframe and power plant equipment to verify proper installation and operation IAW all applicable FAA and OEM regulations, procedures, and instructions and in accordance with design specifications.
- Use FAA standards to determine airworthiness of aircraft under FIS mission-specific certificates for FIS missions on which the Contractor maintained, repaired, or modified A&P equipment.
- Take test readings of non-functioning A&P equipment using common instruments (e.g., digital multimeters, signal generators, semiconductor testers, curve tracers, oscilloscopes, et al) IAW all applicable FAA and OEM regulations, procedures, and instructions, and analyze results to determine maintenance and repair requirements.
- Troubleshoot A&P equipment, implement repair procedures, and replace inoperative airframe and power plant equipment. Maintain aircraft A&P equipment IAW all applicable FAA airworthiness regulations and technical aircraft maintenance publications and part manuals.
- Use tools (e.g., torque wrenches, dial indicators, micrometers, et al) IAW OEM specifications and maintenance manuals to maintain, troubleshoot, repair, install, replace, modify, calibrate, test, and evaluate FIS aircraft A&P equipment.
- Perform daily tool inventory IAW TI 4100.24 Section 3.16. Any tools missing must be immediately reported IAW TI 4100.24.
- A&Ps are required to be licensed by the FAA. May require specialization in sheet-metal, electric work, avionics, or other aircraft systems related disciplines.
- 3+ years of demonstrated experience as an aircraft maintenance technician for an FAA certified part 121, 135 or part 145 working repair station, on transport Beechcraft or Bombardier category aircraft.
- Valid Airframe (A) and/or Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) Certificate with recent experience as required by Title 14 CFR part 65.83.
- Department of Defense (DOD) aircraft experience is not acceptable for this role due to 121/135/145 requirements.
- Required:

Salary: $34.32 per hour
Additional Rate:
Health and welfare rate of $4.57 per hour for medical expenses/health benefits; any unused funds roll over into a 401k at year end.
