The Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) organization is seeking a Lead Structural DaDT Analysis Engineer (Level4) to join the Air Vehicle Engineering team located in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. The successful member will support repairs, modifications, upgrades, and analysis for the B‑1 and/or B‑52 bomber programs.

Responsibilities
  • Ensure compliance with methodology and processes for stress analysis, DaDT analysis, and finite element modelling.
  • Perform failsafe analyses, durability life calculations, and determine damage tolerance for fracture‑critical parts.
  • Apply single‑flight probability‑of‑failure methods to assess fleet risk.
  • Verify structural integrity by defining requirements for development of analytical methods, finite element models, simulations, and other analysis tools to characterize the airframe structural environment and performance.
  • Ensure USAF Aircraft Structural Integrity Program (ASIP) requirements are met for airframe analysis and validation.
  • Calculate inspection intervals for fleet aircraft based on crack‑growth rates.
  • Develop and use various finite‑element models for crack‑growth coefficients and understand proper application of loads.
  • Guide product design and verify structural integrity through analytical methods and simulation tools throughout the product lifecycle.
  • Lead development of test plans and configurations, support test execution, and analyze and report test results to validate systems and components.
  • Develop analytical processes and tools to improve effectiveness, quality, and efficiency of analysis and repair efforts.
  • Define and document certification and test results to substantiate that requirements are satisfied for customers and regulatory agencies.
  • Support in‑service products by leading investigations into failures and analyzing improvements.
  • Lead repair development, integration, and documentation of structural requirements to establish system design.
  • Work under minimal direction.
Basic Qualifications (Required)
  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Civil, Aerospace, Aeronautical, or Material Sciences).
  • Ability to independently construct, execute, review, and manage structural finite‑element models in the area of DaDT.
  • Expertise in linear elastic fracture mechanics, Paris Law & spectrum analysis, and classic crack‑growth analysis tools (NASGRO, AFGROW, GROWTH, NASA/FLAGRO, BEAS).
  • 9+years of experience in structural analysis.
  • 4+years of experience in fracture, fatigue, and/or DaDT analysis.
  • Strong written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
Preferred Qualifications (Desired)
  • Active U.S. Secret Clearance.

  • Familiarity with Lifeworks.
  • Graduate or senior‑level coursework in fatigue & fracture mechanics.
  • Experience validating or verifying finite‑element model results.
  • Experience with structural design principles for aircraft primary structures (fatigue, damage tolerance, corrosion, stress analysis, statics, materials, repair techniques).
  • Experience with Boeing commercial derivative primary structures (737, 747, 757, 767, 777).
