Position: Engineering Technician Direct Hire in Oklahoma City

Engineering Tech – Product Analysis Direct Hire

Taylor Staffing has a direct hire agreement in place to where you will go permanent with the company on Day 1. This is not a temp to hire position.

Job Description

The Engineering Tech & Product Analysis has the responsibility to disassemble, analyze, test, and troubleshoot manufactured products. The Engineering Tech must find root cause issues of product failures and assist in creating and implementing countermeasures. The Engineering Tech should have strong adherence to safe work practices and assist in maintaining a safe and clean work area for all employees.

General Duties
  • Lead department personnel (if necessary)
  • Use computer for testing, analyzing, inputting data, communicating etc.
  • Manage lot integrity when necessary
  • Notify management of problems (product, machine maintenance, etc.)
  • Effective communication throughout department and with management
  • Oversee security and safe use of all equipment used
  • Use safe practices and procedures by following established safety rules and regulations
  • Maintains a safe and clean work area
  • Complete preventive maintenance on machinery and tools in department
Product Analysis

Specific Duties
  • Has a full understanding of testing equipment setup and operation
  • Ensure the integrity of test data is upheld at all times and know how to access and print test data when needed
  • Initiate the product rejection process if units do not meet specifications and identify the correct reason(s) for failure
  • Monitor and track all in process rejected units and warranty returns
  • Identify where additional hardware or steps are needed on units and ensure steps are completed
  • Test and analyze all warranty returns for root cause of failure
  • Collect and report failure findings to Quality and Engineering departments
  • Perform requested tests for Engineering
Requirements
  • Strong mechanical aptitude
  • Solid knowledge and ability to use hand tools, pneumatic impact, etc.
  • Must be able to stand for long periods and perform repetitive tasks
  • Must be able to bend and lift from floor
  • High school diploma or equivalent
Qualifications
  • Verifiable experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Knowledge & experience with maintenance of machinery required
  • Knowledge & experience in the use of testing equipment
  • Knowledge of EPA and OSHA Safety Standards
  • Knowledge of ISO 9001 requirements and Quality Objectives

6:00am – 2:30 pm M-F*
