Systems Engineer
Must be able to obtain a Secret Clearance. US Citizenship Required.
Defines and verifies requirements for new and revised hardware and software systems. Designs, develops, and tests applications. Conducts trade studies and other analyses to formulate optimum solutions for users. Develops and deploys new or revised processes, supporting new computing systems, including documentation and training. Supports integration strategies and architectures that promote use of common tools and processes. Facilitates integration of new technologies and transition from legacy systems to meet business requirements.
Works under general direction of the senior manager.
Job Description
This role involves creating Azure Dev Ops (ADO) teams and boards and providing a centralized role for ensuring consistency across projects.
- Manages Team Structure & Naming conventions
- Manages Area Path structure (controls read/write privileges and serves as a core ontology for WBS)
- Manages Common Iteration Path structure & standards (enables all dashboard widgets and standardized queries)
- Teaches how to use ADO (addresses customization requests rooted in lack of OOTB usage)
- Oversees ongoing maintenance of Azure Dev Ops projects, ensuring smooth operation
- Monitors project performance and implements necessary updates and optimizations
- Identifies opportunities for AI integration within existing tools to enhance functionality
- Provides training and support to team members on Azure Dev Ops best practices and AI applications
- Addresses any issues that arise within the Azure Dev Ops environment
Will support various Company maintenance engineering organization programs across 6 sites, on over 40 platforms (military and weapons).
RequirementsRequired Skill Sets:
- Strong verbal and written communication skills; comfortable interacting with various levels of the organization
- Azure Dev Ops experience of 3+ years
Preferred:
- Software coding experience
- Bachelor's degree with typically 5+ years’ experience in an engineering classification
- Master's degree with typically 3+ years’ experience in an engineering classification
- PhD with experience in an engineering classification
